The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), or “Ayurvedacharya,” is a comprehensive professional undergraduate degree. The curriculum focuses on Ashtanga Ayurveda (the eight branches of Ayurveda) alongside modern medical subjects like Human Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, and Surgery. The BAMS program is a 5.5-year professional course, following the unified national pattern:
