1. Course Overview
The Government Autonomous Ayurved College and Hospital, Gwalior, is one of India’s oldest and most prestigious institutions for Ayurvedic education, with a legacy dating back to its establishment in 1916. 2. Course Duration & Structure
The BAMS program is a full-time residential degree spanning a total of 5.5 years:

Academic Sessions (4.5 Years): The academic portion is divided into three professional phases, each of 1.5 years:

1st Professional: Focuses on fundamental principles (Maulik Siddhant), Anatomy (Rachana Sharir), Physiology (Kriya Sharir), and Sanskrit.

2nd Professional: Covers Pharmacology (Dravyaguna), Pharmaceutics (Rasashastra), Toxicology (Agad Tantra), and Pathology (Roga Vijnana).

3rd/Final Professional: Concentrates on clinical subjects including Internal Medicine (Kayachikitsa), Surgery (Shalya Tantra), ENT & Ophthalmology (Shalakya Tantra), and Panchakarma.

Compulsory Internship (1 Year): A 12-month rotatory clinical internship is mandatory. Students rotate through various departments in the attached Government Hospital, gaining hands-on experience in both Ayurvedic and modern medical protocols.
3. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the BAMS program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualification: Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) and English as mandatory subjects.

Minimum Marks: General/EWS candidates require at least 50% aggregate in PCB. Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) require 40%.

Entrance Exam: Mandatory qualification in the NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test).

Age: Minimum 17 years by December 31st of the admission year.
