1. Course Overview
The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), or “Ayurvedacharya,” is a professional undergraduate degree that provides a comprehensive understanding of integrated Indian medicine. The curriculum at Bharat Ayurved Medical College is designed to master the Tridosha theory and Ashtanga Ayurveda while integrating modern medical subjects such as Human Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Surgery. 2. Course Duration & Structure
The BAMS program is a 5.5-year residential course, strictly following the NCISM guidelines:

Compulsory Internship: 1 Year of mandatory rotatory residential internship. Students apply their clinical skills in the college’s attached 150-bed multispecialty hospital, gaining hands-on experience in specialized OPD/IPD units and emergency care.
3. Eligibility Criteria
Prospective candidates for the 2026-27 academic session must fulfill the following requirements:

Academic Qualification: Passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) and English.

Minimum Marks: At least 50% aggregate in PCB for General category candidates (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates of Uttar Pradesh).

Entrance Exam: Mandatory qualification in the NEET-UG 2026 exam with a valid percentile.
