1. Course Overview
The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), known as “Ayurvedacharya,” is a professional undergraduate degree that offers a comprehensive education in the Indian System of Medicine. The curriculum at G.S. Ayurveda Medical College is designed to bridge the gap between classical Ayurvedic scriptures (Samhitas) and contemporary medical sciences. Students gain mastery over Ashtanga Ayurveda (the eight branches of Ayurveda) while simultaneously studying modern subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, and Surgery.
2. Course Duration & Structure
The BAMS program is a 5.5-year residential course, adhering to the latest NCISM regulations:

Academic Qualification: Passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) and English.
