1. Course Overview
The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is a professional undergraduate degree designed to produce “Ayurvedacharyas.” The curriculum focuses on Ashtanga Ayurveda (the eight branches) alongside modern medical sciences like Anatomy, Physiology, and Surgery to ensure a comprehensive medical education.
2. Course Duration & Structure
The program follows the standard national structure:

Total Duration: 5.5 Years.

Academic Phase: 4.5 Years of intensive classroom and laboratory training.

Compulsory Internship: 1 Year of mandatory rotatory residential internship in the college’s attached 60-bed multispecialty hospital.
3. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the following regulatory requirements:

Academic Qualification: Passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).

Minimum Marks: At least 50% aggregate in PCB for General category (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates of Maharashtra).

Entrance Exam: Mandatory qualification in the NEET-UG of the current academic year.

Age: Minimum 17 years by December 31st of the year of admission.
4. Admission Process
Admissions are merit-based and conducted through centralized state counseling:

NEET-UG Qualification: Secure a valid rank and meet the qualifying percentile in NEET.

Counselling Registration: Register on the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra portal (cetcell.mahacet.org).

Choice Filling: Select “Anand Ayurved College, Vaijapur” during the preference entry rounds.

Seat Allotment: Allocation is based on NEET rank, category reservation, and available intake (60 seats).

Reporting: Report to the college for document verification and final admission formalities.
5. Fee Structure (Academic Year 2025-26)
Fees are approved by the Fee Regulating Authority (FRA), Maharashtra:

Open & AIQ Category: ~₹1,96,000 per annum (Tuition + Development).

OBC/EBC/EWS: ~₹1,07,312 per annum.

SC/ST/VJ/NT: ~₹18,624 per annum (Development fee only).
