1. Course Overview
Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Sanstha’s (CSMSS) Ayurved Mahavidyalaya is a premier institution located in Kanchanwadi, Aurangabad (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar). Established in 1989, the college is dedicated to the revival of ancient Indian medical science while integrating modern clinical research. The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) program here focuses on creating “Ayurvedacharyas” who are proficient in holistic healing, preventive medicine, and surgical techniques (Shalya Tantra). The college is recognized for its high academic standards, having received an ‘A’ Grade assessment from the Quality Council of India (QCI).
2. Course Duration & Structure
The BAMS program is a full-time residential course:

Academic Session: 4.5 years divided into three professional phases (1.5 years each).

Compulsory Internship: 1 year of mandatory rotatory clinical internship at the attached 220+ bed Ayurvedic Hospital, providing students with extensive patient-side experience.

Educational Qualification: 10+2 (HSC) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as mandatory subjects.

Minimum Marks: At least 50% aggregate in PCB for General category (40% for Reserved categories).

Entrance Exam: Mandatory qualification in the NEET-UG of the current academic year.

Age: Minimum 17 years by December 31st of the admission year.
