1. Course Overview
The G. J. Patel Institute of Ayurvedic Studies and Research (GJPIASR), established in 2006, is a landmark institution in New Vallabh Vidyanagar, Anand. It holds the distinction of being the first English-medium Ayurveda college in Gujarat. Affiliated with CVM University, the college is recognized for its “Model Ayurveda Institute” approach, blending classical Ayurvedic ideology with ultra-modern diagnostic facilities and cutting-edge technology. The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) program focuses on developing competent professionals who can meet global healthcare expectations through value-added education and meaningful research.
2. Course Duration & Structure
The BAMS program is a full-time professional degree spanning 5.5 years:

Academic Study: 4.5 years divided into three professional phases (18 months each).

Compulsory Internship: 1 year of mandatory rotatory clinical internship in the attached Surajben Govindabhai Patel Ayurveda Hospital.
3. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the following national and state-level requirements:

Educational Qualification: 10+2 (Science) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as mandatory subjects from a recognized board.

Minimum Marks: General category candidates must have at least 50% aggregate in PCB theory and practicals; reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) require 40%.

Entrance Exam: Mandatory qualification in the NEET-UG of the current academic year.

Age: Minimum 17 years by December 31st of the admission year.
4. Admission Process
Admissions are merit-based and follow the centralized counseling guidelines for Gujarat:
