1. Course Overview
Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Osmanabad (now known as Dharashiv), is a premier state-run institution established in 1986. Located on Tuljapur Road, it is dedicated to providing high-quality Ayurvedic education and healthcare services to the Marathwada region. The BAMS program integrates classical Ayurvedic wisdom with essential modern medical sciences, fostering a holistic approach to patient care. 2. Course Duration & Structure
The BAMS program is a full-time professional course spanning 5.5 years:

Academic Curriculum (4.5 Years): The study is divided into professional phases (as per NCISM norms) covering foundational and clinical subjects such as:

Sharir Rachana (Anatomy) and Sharir Kriya (Physiology).

Dravyaguna (Pharmacology) and Rasa Shastra (Iatrochemistry).

Roga Nidan (Pathology) and Agad Tantra (Toxicology).

Kayachikitsa (Internal Medicine), Shalya Tantra (Surgery), and Panchakarma.

Compulsory Internship (1 Year): A mandatory 12-month rotatory clinical internship at the attached 160-bed Government Ayurvedic Hospital, where students gain hands-on experience in diverse clinical departments.
3. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) and English.

Minimum Marks: At least 50% aggregate in PCB for General category and 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

Entrance Exam: Mandatory qualification in the NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test).

Age Requirement: Minimum 17 years of age by December 31st of the year of admission.

Admissions are strictly merit-based and conducted through centralized counseling:

Counseling Registration: Register online through the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra (for 85% State Quota) or the AACCC (for 15% All India Quota).
