1. Course Overview
The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), or “Ayurvedacharya,” is a comprehensive professional undergraduate degree. The curriculum at Kala Ashram is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of the fundamental principles of Ayurveda—such as the Tridosha theory and Panchakarma—while simultaneously mastering modern medical subjects. Students are trained in a wide array of specialties, including Internal Medicine (Kayachikitsa), Surgery (Shalya Tantra), Pediatrics (Kaumarbhritya), and ENT/Ophthalmology (Shalakya Tantra), ensuring they are well-equipped for integrated healthcare delivery.
2. Course Duration & Structure
The BAMS program is a 5.5-year integrated course, strictly following the standardized national guidelines:

Academic Phase: 4.5 Years of intensive theoretical instruction and laboratory-based practicals, divided into professional years.

Compulsory Internship: 1 Year of mandatory rotatory residential internship. Students apply their clinical skills in the college’s attached 60-bed multispecialty hospital, gaining experience in both Ayurvedic and modern clinical departments.
3. Eligibility Criteria
Prospective candidates for the 2026-27 academic session must fulfill the following requirements:

Academic Qualification: Passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) and English as core subjects.

Minimum Marks: At least 50% aggregate in PCB for General category candidates (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates of Rajasthan).

Entrance Exam: Mandatory qualification in the NEET-UG 2026 exam with a valid percentile.
