1. Course Overview
The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is a professional undergraduate degree that focuses on the study of traditional Ayurveda along with modern clinical sciences. At KAMCRC, students delve into the original Sanskrit texts of Ayurveda while also mastering Human Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, and modern diagnostic methods. The curriculum is designed to produce practitioners who can offer holistic healthcare solutions through therapies such as Panchakarma and Ksharsutra.
2. Course Duration & Structure
The BAMS program is a 5.5-year residential course, strictly following the NCISM unified pattern:

Academic Phase: 4.5 Years of intensive theoretical and laboratory training, divided into professional years.

Compulsory Internship: 1 Year of mandatory rotatory residential internship. Students gain vital clinical exposure in the college’s attached hospital, rotating through various specialized OPD and IPD units under expert supervision.

Prospective candidates must meet the following standardized criteria:

Academic Qualification: Passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as core subjects.
