1. Course Overview
The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) offered at Matoshri Ayurved College is a professional undergraduate degree that focuses on the “Science of Life.” The course provides an in-depth understanding of Ayurvedic medicine, including herbal treatments, dietary principles, and specialized therapies like Panchakarma, while also integrating essential aspects of modern medicine such as Anatomy, Physiology, and General Surgery.
2. Course Duration & Structure
The BAMS program is a 5.5-year integrated course:

Academic Duration (4.5 Years): Divided into four professional terms. Students study a range of subjects including Rachana Sharir (Anatomy), Dravyaguna (Pharmacology), and Prasuti Tantra (Obstetrics).

Compulsory Internship (1 Year): A mandatory 12-month rotating internship at the attached 100-bed hospital, where students gain practical clinical experience in diagnosing and treating patients.

Educational Qualification: Completion of 10+2 (Higher Secondary) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).
