1. Course Overview
The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), or “Ayurvedacharya,” is a professional undergraduate degree that provides a comprehensive education in the Indian System of Medicine. The curriculum at Himalayiya Ayurvedic Medical College blends classical Ayurvedic teachings, such as Samhitas and Panchakarma, with modern medical subjects like Human Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, and Surgery. 2. Course Duration & Structure
The BAMS program is a 5.5-year integrated professional course, strictly adhering to the NCISM guidelines:
